Twenty-two weddings along this coast and we still roll up the 101 with the windows down. Orchids at Dos Pueblos, the bluff at Bacara with the Channel Islands hanging on the horizon, the garden terraces at El Encanto, then over the mountain to Sunstone and the Alisal and the vines of Santa Ynez, everything gone gold by five. Santa Barbara takes its time. We roll film the whole way.

DO YOU TRAVEL TO SANTA BARBARA?
Our California crew is based in San Diego, a few hours down the coast — your wedding isn't waiting on a flight from Hawaii.
We bill mileage from San Diego, and a hotel room when the call time or the finish makes the drive back unreasonable. Both are quoted in your proposal before you sign, so nothing turns up on the final invoice you haven't already seen.
CAN YOU COVER THE WHOLE WEEKEND?
Yes. Pura Vida covers ten hours plus an extra day, and three of our Santa Barbara weddings have run across two days. Tell us what the weekend looks like and we'll build the coverage around it.
WHAT DOES A SANTA BARBARA WEDDING FILM COST?
Weddings start at $5,000 and elopements at $3,500. Price scales with coverage, film length and whether you want a second filmmaker. Every package includes a consultation, recorded ceremony and speech audio, custom hand-drawn titles, online hosting, and a hard drive with every frame of raw footage.
